Kiwanis Polar Dip aims to raise $25,000 for Reston-area organizations

RESTON, VIRGINIA, November 1 – The Kiwanis Club of Tysons is hosting a polar dip in February to raise money for Reston-area organizations.

The Kiwanis Club has enthusiastically taken the helm of this annual Reston community event, which has raised over $1 million over the past 18 years. This year,  the goal of the Kiwanis Polar Dip is to raise $25,000 for Food for Neighbors, Friends of Reston, and a variety of Kiwanis Youth Programs in the Fairfax County area. A portion will also benefit Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

The Kiwanis Polar Dip will take place Saturday, February 10 at 2pm, at Lake Anne Village Plaza in Reston.

Participants can sign up to dip or create a team today by visiting our website at kiwanispolardip.org. All participants on-site who raise at least $100 will receive an event t-shirt. Individuals who don’t want to jump are still welcome to donate to the event.

Area businesses and organizations can support the event and our charities by becoming an event sponsor. The sponsorship packet can be found at kiwanispolardip.org.
