How to Join
The Kiwanis Club of Tysons is a great place to improve your involvement in our community while having fun and meeting new people. To become a member of the Kiwanis Club of Tysons, please follow our guidelines below:
Step 1: Attend three club events
(Due to Coronavirus concerns, this step will be temporarily disregarded.)
Before you decide if our club is for you, it is best for you to attend at least three club events. Events include service projects, meetings, or socials. This will give you the opportunity to learn more about the club and meet our members. Check out our club’s calendar and e-mail our Membership Director at firstname.lastname@example.org to give us a heads-up if you plan to attend an event.
Step 2: Fill out our membership application form and pay club dues
After you have attended three events, you are eligible to apply for membership to the club and pay dues for the current year. Our year runs October 1 – September 30 and dues are $130/year or $38/year (for your first two years) if you were previously a member of a Kiwanis Service Leadership Program (K-Kids, Builders Club, K-Kids, Key Club or Circle K International). Step 3: Be assigned a member sponsor and get inducted
Each new member will be assigned a member sponsor. Your sponsor is usually someone you have met at a club event you have attended and who will help educate you on all the various programs, conferences, organization’s background, and benefits of Kiwanis to ensure you get the most out of your membership. New member inductions are very casual and are held quarterly during a club meeting.
