GMU CKI’s End of Semester Celebration

George Mason’s CKI (the college branch of the Kiwanis Family) has invited us to their end of semester celebration. They will be recognizing graduating seniors and inducting new offices. If you plan to attend or have any questions, please let Catie know ([email protected]).

Meal Prep with NVFS
Sunday, May 8th, 3:30pm – 5:30pm
We will be cooking a meal for the guests at the Northern Virginia Family Service SERVE family shelter in Manassas. The shelter is the area’s largest family homeless shelter. On average more than 40% of the guests are children.
We need 5 volunteers to help cook and serve, including a meal lead! Note: All volunteers must be fully vaccinated to participate on site.

We will provide bags and vests. Please bring closed toed shoes and masks/gloves as desired. On both dates, we will be picking up trash along West Ox Road.We will meet at Navy Elementary School for easy parking (Outside of Door 7). We will divide up from there to clean different areas of the road.
Attendees do not need to stay for the whole time. You must be at least 18 years old, or at least 10 years old with one over 18 year old in your group to volunteer (ratio of 4:1 max). Event will be cancelled if there is heavy rain or flood warning (check your email morning of event day).
