2024 Treats For Troops with Soldiers Angels and Caboose and Kiwanis
We are looking to collect excess candy as part of Soldiers’ Angels Treats for Troops Halloween candy collection program. This is a great opportunity to both share extra candy and teach children about giving back and volunteering. All candy is shipped to 3 different local military destinations. Contact Us if your question is not answered below.
After we reach our candy goal, we will stop accepting candy. Our last pick up will be 11-09 at noon. No more candy will be accepted after that time.
Candy Restrictions
Individually wrapped candy or unopened small bags accepted
No loose candy, no homemade candy
No baked goods (store-bought or homemade)
Chocolate accepted and does not need to be separated
Other Ways to Support
Special thank you to Caboose for hosting our drop off locations and Soldier’s Angels for providing recipients. You can help us package and sort by signing up here. After we’ve reached our donation goal we will not be accepting any more candy. Consider other ways to support Soldier’s Angels:
Join us for our Monthly Meeting! We meet in person and virtually on the first Wednesday of the month. Prospective members, fellow Kiwanians, and members of the K-Family are always welcome
Sponsored by the Tysons Kiwanis Foundation, come out on Wednesday to pack Power Packs at the Food for Others Warehouse in Merrifield.
The Power Pack Program provides weekend meals to roughly 3,800 students at 44 Fairfax County schools each week during the school year. The weekend meal pack, which contains two items each for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus two snacks and two drinks, helps alleviate a child’s hunger and allows them to come to school on Monday morning fed, focused, and ready to learn.
Hosted by another club, one of our members is leading a panel and we encourage our key clubbers and other highschool seniors to attend:
